It's Western Michigan University's 120th birthday! WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences is raising funds for our Student Projects Lab.
Why we are raising money for this fund:
The Student Projects Lab at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences offers students a designated place to perform hands-on work for class-related projects and a home for student organizations to design and build cars to compete against other universities. The heavily used lab hosts a variety of equipment and tools for students’ use and funds are needed to replace aging and worn tools and equipment.
What would gifts of $10, $20, $100 do?
Gifts of any size go towards repairing or replacing needed tools and equipment. The lab contains a variety of drills, welders, saws, sand blasters, grinders, as well as heavy machinery.
How our cause benefits students:
Each semester, the Students Projects Lab serves hundreds of students across all levels and engineering and applied sciences programs. Many students use the lab when completing their capstone Senior Engineering Design Conference projects. The lab is also home to the WMU SAE Formula and Bronco Baja Racing teams who use the lab for the design, machining and assembly of their cars. Other registered student organizations, including the Sunseeker Solar Car team, use the lab as needed.
Thank you for your support!
